About Like the Wind
Like the Wind is a beautifully printed, independent magazine celebrating global running culture.
Running is one of the most universal languages in the world. From mountain trails in Patagonia to urban streets in Tokyo to dirt roads in Kenya — we exist to capture and share its stories.
At Like the Wind, we know that to tell great running stories, you need to understand running — not from the outside, but from inside the shoes, on the trail, in the rain, when it hurts, and when it heals. That’s why every person who works on this magazine is a runner themselves.
We are now looking for a Digital Marketer to help more people discover Like the Wind, grow subscriptions and merchandise sales, and strengthen our reputation as the long-form print magazine connecting global running stories with readers around the world.
The role
As Like the Wind‘s Digital Marketer, you’ll be the point person for executing our marketing strategy across digital channels. Your work will shape how Like the Wind shows up online, stops the scroll, and inspires runners everywhere to choose print over pixels.
You’ll manage the marketing calendar, run campaigns, and champion our readers’ voices in everything you create. You’ll collaborate across the business — with production, community, and partnerships — to ensure our storytelling is consistent, creative, and impactful.
What you will do
Marketing Execution & Calendar
- Own the day-to-day execution of campaigns and maintain the marketing calendar.
- Execute the new edition issue launch playbook for each new release.
Community & Influencers
- Build and maintain relationships with running influencers, creators, and subscriber-fans.
- Lead influencer seeding campaigns and keep our database up to date.
Digital Channels
- Manage Like the Wind’s content calendar and social presence (Instagram, LinkedIn) in line with our channel strategy.
Refresh and report on advertising creative for Meta and PPC campaigns. - Plan, execute, and optimize paid digital campaigns (social, display, PPC).
Email & Content Marketing
- Run subscriber communications and email marketing campaigns (lists, content, promotions).
Analytics & Growth
- Measure and report on all marketing activity using GA4/Looker Studio, MailChimp, and social analytics.
- Track conversion points, test growth experiments, and recommend optimizations.
- Share full-funnel performance reports weekly.
Collaboration
- Bring the voice of the customer into our creative work and marketing decisions.
- Work closely with production, community, and partnerships teams to ensure smooth handoffs and aligned campaigns.
About you
- You are a runner at heart — you’re able to communicate like one in posts, comments, and DMs.
- A relationship-first marketer who makes influencers, creators, and readers feel seen and valued.
- Organized and detail-driven, keeping content and campaigns flowing smoothly.
- Passionate about running, Like the Wind, and the magic of print.
Bonus Points
- 2–3 years in a customer-facing marketing role.
- Hands-on experience with paid media and A/B testing.
What success looks like
- Consistent execution of the marketing strategy and issue launch playbook.
- Steady growth in subscriptions, merchandise sales, and brand recognition.
- Clear, regular reporting on marketing performance and actionable insights for the team.
- Strong relationships with influencers, community, and internal collaborators.
