How to enter

All you have to do is pop in to the Pop-Up between Tuesday 28 October and Sunday 2 November and fill in a card to be entered into the competition. And if you take a picture of your card and share it on Twitter or Instagram using the hashtag #boostlondon and @adidasuk you can increase your chances of winning!

Terms and Conditions for the LtW x adidas Virgin Money London Marathon Competition (“Competition”)

No Purchase Required to Enter or Win.

Who can enter?

This Promotion is open only to legal residents of the UK

To enter this Promotion you must be:

  • Eighteen (18) years of age at the time of entry;
  • Accept all risks associated with such activities;
  • Prepared to train for a marathon; and
  • Available to participate in the Virgin Money London Marathon on 26 April 2015

Employees of adidas, freestak or Like the Wind magazine, their subsidiaries and affiliates of other companies associated with the promotion of the Competition, as well as the immediate family (spouse, parents, siblings, and children, and each of their respective spouses) and household members of each such employee are not eligible. In addition, adidas sponsored athletes and their immediate families are not eligible.

Who is promoting the Competition?

The Competition is promoted by adidas and freestak Ltd (the “Promoters”). The Promoters reserve the right to cancel, terminate or modify the Competition if it cannot be delivered as planned, or for any other reason in Promoter’s sole discretion.

When can I enter?

This Competition starts on or about 10:00am (GMT) on 27 October 2014 and ends at 11:00 pm (GMT) on November 2 2014 (the “Entry Period”). Entries submitted prior to or after the Entry Period will be disqualified. Promoter’s computer is the official time keeping device for this Competition.

How do I enter?

During the Entry Period:

  • Visit the Like the Wind magazine Pop-Up, Blackall Studios, 73a Leonard Street, London, EC2A 4QS during opening hours (generally 11am until 6pm every day)
  • Fill in a card with your contact details and the reason your would like to run the 2015 Virgin Money London Marathon
  • Attach the card to the column in the Pop-Up gallery
  • Take a photograph and tweet or upload to Instagram using the hashtag #boostlondon and the handle @adidasUK to increase your chances of winning.

What rights do the Promoters have to my Entry?
By submitting an entry, you grant the Promoters the unconditional and perpetual right and permission to copyright, reproduce, encode, store, copy, transmit, publish, post, broadcast, display, publicly perform, adapt, modify, create derivative works of, exhibit, and otherwise use the entry (with or without using your name) in any media throughout the world for any purpose, without limitation, and without additional review, compensation, or approval from you or any other party. By submitting an entry, you further agree not to instigate, support, maintain, or authorize any action, claim, or lawsuit against the Promoters, or any other person, on the grounds that any use of the entry, or any derivative works, infringe any of your rights, including, without limitation, copyrights, moral rights. You further acknowledge that the Promoters are in no way obligated to publish or use your entry in any way. Nothing herein shall constitute an employment, joint venture, or partnership relationship between you and the Promoters. In no way are you to be construed as the agent or to be acting as the agent of the Promoters.

How will winners be selected?
On or about 2 November 2014 the entries will be reviewed by the Promoters and the one that they deem to be the best will be awarded the prize. Factors such as creativity, worthiness, humour as well as any tweets and Instagram posts will be taken into account.

What can I win?

The winner will receive:

  • Entry for one person into the 2015 Virgin Money London Marathon;
  • Apparel and footwear from the adidas range selected by the Promoters

What other terms should I be aware of?

The Promotion is subject to UK law. The Promoters reserve the right at their sole discretion to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Competition or to be acting in violation of these Official Rules or in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner. Any attempt by any person to undermine the legitimate operation of the Competition may be a violation of criminal and civil law. In the event Promoters are prevented from continuing with the Competition or the integrity and/or feasibility of the Competition is severely undermined by any event beyond the control of Promoters, including but not limited to fire, flood, epidemic, earthquake, explosion, labour dispute or strike, act of God or public enemy, satellite or equipment failure, riot or civil disturbance, war (declared or undeclared), terrorist threat or activity, infection by computer virus, unauthorized intervention, technical failures or other cause not reasonably within the control of Promoters (each a “Force Majeure” event or occurrence), Promoters shall have the right, in its sole discretion, to abbreviate, modify, suspend, cancel or terminate the Competition without any further obligation.

By participating in the Promotion, entrants agree to release and hold harmless the Promoters, their parent and related companies, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents (the “Released Parties”) from and against any claim or cause of action arising out of participation in the Promotion, including, but not limited to: (a) unauthorized human intervention in the Competition; (b) technical errors related to computers, servers, providers, or telephone or network lines; (c) printing errors; (d) lost, late, postage-due, misdirected, or undeliverable mail; (e) errors in the administration of the Competition or the processing of entries; or (f) injury or damage to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from entrant’s participation in the Competition or receipt or use of the prize (including any travel/activity related thereto). Entrants waive the right to claim any damages whatsoever, including, but not limited to, punitive, consequential, direct, or indirect damages. Entrant agrees that the Released Parties have made no warranty, representation or guarantee, expressed or implied, in fact or in law, relating to any prize.
